On This Day in Technology History: December 27th

A guide to the historic events that happened on this day in technology history. Today Warner Music starts releasing its music digitally and Windows 7 is leaked online.

 

2007 – Warner Music succumb to the Modern World

After a much touted deliberations, Warner Music Group, one of the last major music studios to refuse to sell music online without digital rights management copy protection, announces that it will begin offering songs in the MP3 format through Amazon.com.

 

2008 – Windows 7 Beta Leakedwindows-7

An early version of Windows 7 Beta is leaked onto the internet via BitTorrent. Two days later, reviews will start to appear online.
