    This knight looks ready for a fight. It’s the official last day of the birthday and the game but I am happy to let it run if you, the contestants wish?

    Nice, but you guys seems to have set up the board incorrectly 😉

    e1 == White king
    e8 == Black king

    But your move @gerld indicates that you have the queen at e8?
    Would have been correct if red were white and the board were turned up-side down, but since I started and the notation is as below you need to switch positions of the king/queen and also redo the move 🙂

    A bit confusing maybe but look at this picture and let me know if I’m not making sense 😉

    The Board is as you describe it above. So your suggesting switch e8 and d8 and e1 and d1?

    @ronan If the board is as I described it above (e1:White King, e8:Black king, d1: White Queen, d8:Black Queen) then I’m a bit confused as the black King can’t make the move e8:e6 that @gerld wrote above.

    @gerld
    Am I missing something here 😀 ?

    Yes the board was setup in reverse. I’m always playing by the @ronan’s photos.

    “Yes the board was setup in reverse.” Can we set the position then of the king&queen properly and you redo the move @gerld ?

    @kristoffernordstrom I have changed the pieces to reflect the board and ask @gerld to take his move again.

    I’ll put up photo before and after his move

    @gerld No worries, as you can see I’m not lightning fast either, but thats the nice thing about correspondence chess its relaxed.
    Hopefully we’ll finish it before we meet in Stockholm this year 😉

    My move: f3:e5

    @kristoffernordstrom would you prefer no pictures? I am happy with that. It would make the pages quicker to load.
