Will the ISO Standards be A Good Thing For Software Testing?

As many of you may be aware, the ISO 29119 standards for software testing have been in the works for a number of years now. The Standards have had support from some in the industry and met by opposition by others but how do you think they will affect the industry? Do you think they will be beneficial for testing or not?
