Now that I have your attention…
We are seeking out Doctors to be our resident problem solvers at EuroSTAR 2017. Let me explain a bit more.
The Test Clinic is a temporary hospital that is only found at EuroSTAR for your testing problems. It is run each year by two testing Doctors who can diagnose and fix the problems that they are faced with in the Clinic.
The Test Clinic at EuroSTAR was established in 2015 by Huib Shoots and Iris Pinkster-O’Riordan. The idea behind the Test Clinic came as a way to help delegates at the EuroSTAR Conference with their testing problems.
In the first year the Test Clinic team helped delegates with whatever problem they had. There was a mix of everything from questions on automation tools like Selenium to questions about implementing Agile. If Iris and Huib were not able to answer the question, they made sure that there was there was a expert nearby who could help.
In 2016, a new team of Doctors were recruited to make the Clinic even better for the EuroSTAR Conference in Stockholm. Christin Wiedemann (who travelled from Canada for the event) and Arpad Toth were recruited as part of the 2016 Volunteer Team. Both Christin and Arpad have extensive experience in software Testing and brought that to bear on the problems delegates had over the course of the few days. The managed to solve lots of problems for testers and many went away with new ideas to try out in their own work.
2017 is no different. We are looking for two new Test “Doctors” who will be able to run the Clinic during the Conference. You need to have some experience in testing and have a good general knowledge of different areas in testing. You might have an expertise in one area which will help.
So if you think you fit that bill, are happy to help others out and keen to share your knowledge, then you should apply.
