1999 – The Dot Com Bubble Heats Up
In an example of how the dot-com bubble is reaching its peak, the online grocery start-up Webvan Group suspends its plans for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) until after an unspecified “cooling-off period.” The company had originally planed to offer twenty-five million shares are postponed. The reason for the postponement appears to be because of revelations that the company omitted operating financial information from its published portfolio.
2003 – Apple Update the Power Mac G4
In the U.S.A Apple Computer releases an updated line of it’s very popular Power Mac G4 computers. The machines featur a single or dual 1.25GHz G4 processors along with 80GB hard drives.
