 1945 – Birth of Adele Goldberg

Adele Goldberg

Adele Goldberg who helped develop Smalltalk-80 and who also helped develop concepts that led to basis of GUI systems was born in Cleveland, Ohio.

 

 

 

 

 

2009 – Chrome OSchrome-os-logo

In July 2009, Google announced  Google Chrome OS. The Operating System was unique in that both applications and user data reside in the cloud. This meant data could be accessed by a user from from any machine running the operating system, a completely novel approach at this time.
