1951 – Samual Palmisano is born
Later to become the president and CEO of IBM, on this day in 1951, Samual Palmisano was born in Baltimore. He joined IBM in 1973 as a salesman, later to rise to the position of CEO.
1979 – Lisa is slowly being built
Apple begins work on the Lisa, the first home computer to have graphical user interface. The project’s target release date is March 1981. It launches in 1983 and sells for $10,000.
2004 – VS.PHP is released
On this day in 2004, the company Jcx.Software releases VS.PHP, a text editor, for Microsoft Windows.
