1972 – The First Hand-held calculatorhp35

On this day in 1972, Hewlett-Packard releases the first scientific hand-held calculator. The HP-35 is released with a price of $395.

 

 

 

 

2004 – The MyDoom Virus spreadsmydoom

Still spreading just a week after being discovered, the MyDoom virus will go on to become one of the most damaging online computer viruses. It’s estimated that one million computers around the globe have been infected with the Mydoom computer worm as the virus launches its massive distributed denial of service attack (DDOS) which up to that point is the largest in history.
