1994 – World-Wide Web Consortium Meet
At the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, United States, the very first meeting of the World-Wide Web Consortium (W3C) is held. Founded by the founders of the internet (Albert Vezza and Tim Berners-Lee), W3C is established to develop and maintain international standards for the World Wide Web.
2001 – “Panasonic Q” is released in Japan
Panasonic releases the SLGC-10 video game console in Japan. The system, also known as the “Panasonic Q,” is a hybrid of the Nintendo GameCube. The console was released only in Japan and the reason for it manufacture was the Nintendo Gamecube could not play DVD’s.
