I came across this story today…a man who own a server comapny accidently deleted all data related to the 1,500 websites that his company hosted including the back-up data.
So basically he has deleted his own company. Quite a mistake to make.
I wonder has anyone here done the same in testing or heard any stories of similar large mistakes?
Wow!!! That’s a lovely start to a weekend! 😮
This reminded me of the Morris worm which was actually supposed to be just a harmless experiment. It was the first widespread worm attack and the total economic impact it had was between $100,000 – 10,000,000. And the creator of the worm was sentenced to three years probation, 400 hours of community service, a fine of $10,050 plus the costs of his supervision
@archana I actually had not heard of that before. Scary story.
Reminds me of the guy who got in trouble recently for spamming 911 Emergency call in the U.S. recently
