Agile Testing Facing the Challenges in Test Management… Common Anti-patterns

Bob Galen

Independent Software Testing Consultant

Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise, agile testing is hard! First you have to get over the misconception that you don’t need testers within agile teams. Then you have to integrate with the developers and provide holistic quality services, while testing, testing, testing… And those are the challenges when the going is EASY!

There are a whole set of other challenges associated with much more difficult contexts. In this session, Bob Galen will explore contexts where you have to blend your traditional testing techniques “towards” agile; while still maintaining your balance-for example in your test planning, execution, and metrics reporting. He’ll share common anti-patterns and methods for attacking them. Expect examples and options, but no silver bullets. Remember-it’s hard!
