1986 – Apple Release the Mackintosh Plus
Apple Computer releases the Macintosh Plus. The machine features a 8MHz Motorola 68000and 1MB (expandable to 4MB) of RAM, and a SCSI peripheral bus.
2009 – Microsoft Charged with Anti-Competitive Practices
In Brussels, Microsoft is charged by the European Commission for anti-competitive practices by bundling its own web browser, Internet Explorer, into its Windows operating system. In citing reasons for the action the Commission stated “Microsoft’s tying of Internet Explorer to the Windows operating system harms competition between web browsers, undermines product innovation and ultimately reduces consumer choice.”
