1991 – Release of Space Quest IV
In the United States, the video game Space Quest IV: Roger Wilco and the Time Rippers is released by Sierra. The game is notable for being one of the first games to make use of motion capture animation. Costing over a million dollars to produce the game is released on floppy disk with a re-release on CD-ROM occurring in December of 1992.
2003 – The birth of Google AdSense?
On this day in 2003, Google announces it has designed a new content targeted ad network. In April of the same year the company will acquire Applied Semantics. The use of Applied Semantics CIRCA technology will enable Google to improve its ability to target content targeted ads. The company calls the new programme AdSense.
