1979 – Software Arts is Founded
The company that gives birth to what is often credited the first “killer app” for computing is founded. Software Arts will go on to develop VisiCalc, the world’s first spreadsheet programme that would gain mass popularity.
2007 – D Programming Language Released
In the United States, Walter Bright of Digital Mars releases the first stable version of the D programming language. The 1st version of the language is object-oriented, imperative, multi-paradigm system. The language originated as a re-worked version of the C++ programming language.
