1945 – Patent on the Automatic Sequence Control Calculator
In the United States, researchers H.H. Aiken, B.M. Durfee, C.D Lake, and F.E. Hamilton file an application for a patent on the Automatic Sequence Control Calculator. The device would later become known as the Harvard Mark I, the world’s first automatic digital computer.
2004 – New Version of Lunix
The newest version of Linux; version 2.0.40 of the operating system is released.
