On This Day in Tech History: June 23rd

Acknowledging the major events in Computer History; On this day shares the most important computer events that occurred on this day in history. Today we feature Sonic the Hedgehog and Windows Mobile 2003.

 

1991 – Sonic The HedgehogSonic_the_Hedgehog_(USA,_Europe)-9

Sega Enterprises introduces its flagship game Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis in the U.S. The character and game would become a flagship product for all Sega consoles. Sonic the Hedgehog would be later developed for the Sega Mega Drive, Game Gear and other platforms.

 

 

 

 

 

2003 – Windows Mobile 2003Windows Mobile 2003

Microsoft announce the new platform for mobile; Windows Mobile 2003. Codenamed oZone, the operating system is launched in four versions.
