Nextbit Robin Beta Testing

A team of ex-Googlers who have moved into the mobile market have launched their device for beta testing. The Nextbit is designed to be based solely on cloud storage. The new software will be launched soon after the beta testing has completed. Read More here

 

 

Signing Ceremony for New Testing Agreement

DCE chairman Li Zhengqiang said that the cooperation will meet the common demand of the fund companies for the tests of the public products in the industry, give full play to the advantage of the Test Center in specialization, integrate the resources in the industry, reduce the test costs and improve the testing efficiency. In the future the cooperation will be recognized in the industry and the market.

The Chair of the Dalian Commodity Exchange has just signed an agreement along with the Industry Test Center of Dalian Commodity Exchange to manage tests for fund companies of public products in the industry.  The Industry Test Center of Dalian Commodity Exchange (or Test Centre) was setup in 2009 and is a is a specialised testing organisation striving to become a leading one in the domestic securities and futures industry and financial sector. Read More here

 

 

Russia Considering Bug Bounty Programme

The implications of such a bounty are being considered including staffing requirements for bug triage and validation, and the need to find a way to force developers to develop and apply patches for affected software

Reports are coming out that Russia are in the stages of potentially launching a bug bounty programme. The programme would allow the Russian government to manage and update any software issues better than it currently does. This is not Russia’s first foray into this area; it has also sponsored a alternative to Andorid based on linux. Read More here

 

New South Wales Vote Could Happen Again Thanks to BugRina Mercuri

We believe the software error incorrectly decreased Mercuri’s winning probability to about 10%

The New South Wales Government are considering their options after a group of researchers found a bug in the voting software that meant one candidate Rina Mercuri (pictured) should have been elected but was not. The researchers  from the University of Melbourne examined the software for defects after the election commission released some of the code used in the voting software. Read More here
