Software Testing Straight Talk (STST) Returns

STST 2015 is organised by the Malaysian Software Testing Board (MSTB), in collaboration with the Economic Planning Unit (EPU) of the Prime Minister’s Department, Standards Malaysia, and the Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (Mampu).

A government sponsored software testing event is returning to Malaysia next week. Held on the 3-4th November, the Software Testing Straight Talk is an opportunity for testers to come together with academia and government bodies to discuss testing. Read More here

 

Your A Software Company but Just don’t know it Yet

U.S. Army Software Testers Operate in State of Fear

The most unfortunate outcome is that service members who become aware of vulnerabilities feel helpless to positively affect the situation. Meanwhile, those who wish to do harm to our nation are free from such worries

A report from Darren Pauli on a recently released study of software testing in the U.S. Army has found that there could be major flaws in the army’s information security structure but as internal staff who find vulnerabilities have no incentive to report bugs they find with the addition issue of them having to face no repercussions for keeping silent, a lot of bugs are unreported. Having pushed through development of iOS 9.1 and its five betas in a record breaking 33 days, it is now being widely reported that the update has introduced a bug far more infuriating than any of the quirks it was designed to fix”

Apple is taking flak for its latest software update. The 1OS 9.1 update resolves a few bugs but in the meantime it also disables all alarms on users phones. Alot of people were not happy about it. Read More here
