2003 – Microsoft acquires PlaceWare
On this day in 2003 Microsoft acquires PlaceWare, a developer of web conferencing software that was originally a spin-off of Xerox. Microsoft decided to re-brand PlaceWare’s core product and market it as Microsoft Office Live Meeting.
2009 – Apple update MacBook
An updated version of releases an update of its MacBook is released. The new computer features Mac OS X v10.5.6 with the hardware including an 13.3″ glossy widescreen LCD, a 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with a 1066MHz Front-Side bus, 2GB of DDR2SDRAM, and a 120GB hard drive.
