Twitter Bug Fixed on Macs
It’s always the little bugs that seem to cause people to express their most annoyance. What seems like a trivial bug on Macs has received a lot of attention recently. getaddrinfo() could endanger your Online Security
“This is a core bedrock function across Linux. Things that do domain name lookups have a real vulnerability if the attacker can answer”
Kenn White, security researcher explains the importance and impact that a recently discovered bug will have on the internet. The vulnerability has been around since 2008 after it was introduced with the GNU C Library. GNU C Library is so important as it powers a host of singular applications. The vulnerability can be exposed when devices or apps make queries to attacker-controlled domain names or domain name servers. Read More here
Ebay Bug Leaves Its Autions Exposed
“Since we allow active content on our site it’s important to understand that malicious content on our marketplace is extraordinarily uncommon, which we estimate to be less than two listings per million that use active content on the eBay marketplace”
Ebay explains its reasoning why the company has allowed a bug that was found on the site in December to remain on the auctioning website. Check Point Software discovered the bug and revealed that using a technique called JSF**K, hackers can phish unsuspecting users and infect their devices. Read More here
Adobe Deletes Mac Users Files

A user of Adobe Creative Cloud tweets about the recent issue where the programme was deleting user files on their Macs. The issue arose due to to file-naming conventions on Mac computers with the bug often deleting hidden system folders. The bug has since been fixed by Adobe but users were angry at the lack of acknowledgement and communication from the company. Read More here
