2009 – Google Acquires AdMob
On this day in 2009. Google acquires the mobile advertising firm AdMob for $750 Million. At the time of its acquisition, The company Admob is among the world’s largest mobile advertising platforms, serving over forty billion mobile ads per month. The acquisition marks Google acknowledgement of the strength of mobile internet and its importance in the company’s future.
