1994 – The “BubbleBoy” Worm
A new worm given the name “BubbleBoy” is first detected. The worm affects Outlook users. It infects a user’s computer with just the user merely highlights the subject line of the e-mail message carrying it. The worm changes the infected computer’s registry displays a message screen, then spreads itself by mailing itself to every e-mail address on the infected system’s address list.
2001 – NanoTransistors are developed
Bell Labs announce the company has developed “nanotransistors” so tiny that ten million could fit on the head of a pin.
