1987 – The hundredth .com domain registers
Displaying how the interent was only in its infancy, it has been a gap of three days between the the ninety-ninth and hundredth .com domain name being registered. The one hundredth domain name is NYnexst.com.
2006 – Windows Vista
At the NASDAQ in Times Square, the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system and Microsoft Office 2007 is launched. It’s the first major upgrade to Windows since Windows XP was launched in 2001. The release of Vista comes two years behind schedule. The release is filled with bugs and because of this it takes another two months to release a consumer version.
