1999 – World’d Longest Intercontinental Fiber Link Cable
The world’s longest intercontinental optical fiber link, the Trans-Asia-Europe Optical Fibre Cable System (TAE), goes into service. The new cable system is 27,000km long, 17,000km of which is a direct cable between Frankfurt and Shanghai.
2003 – Intel introduce a number of Processors
In the U.S. , Intel introduce a number of Processors to the market. The new processors include the 2GHz mobile Celeron processor, the 2.4GHz Pentium 4-M processor for laptops, the 800MHz and 866MHz Celeron low-power mobile processors and the 900MHz and 933MHz Pentium III-M low-power mobile processors.
