On This Day in Technology History: December 31st

Some of tech event’s that happened On This Day  brought to you by TEST Huddle; one of the most expensive video games ever made and Apple unveils its most expensive iPod yet.

 

1995 – One of the Most Expensive Games ever Made

In the United States, Electronic Arts releases the spaceflight simulator Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom for Windows. The P.C. game was produced on a record-breaking budget of $12 million. The reasons for the large expense includes the hiring of well known actors to play roles and the inclusion of a large amount of full motion video featured in the game.

 

 

 

2002 – Apple unveils its most expensive iPods yet

Apple Computer unveils its first limited edition iPods. These iPods feature the signature of Beck,Madonna, and Tony Hawk or the logo of No Doubt engraved on the back plate. The extra cost of the limited edition iPods means they retail at $548 in the U.S.
