    • This is so good to read. Coming into Testing from a business analysis background, I’ve always been baffled why project managers don’t engage testers much much earlier in the SDLC than they do. When the collaborative, questioning conversations occur, productivity can jump significantly. Yes it burns a bit more time at the start of the project. The project managers do not always forsee the opportunities and benefits. Firstly the chances of good system validation and specifying of the right system increase a lot. Secondly, the how, test analysis and design and verification are so much more easily dealt with.”System right” developed test cases are of much greater value than they might otherwise have been. Thirdly as test assumptions are clearer (Given) and scenarios (When & Then) are clearer, the test execution and defect/fault recognition phases are much more productive. The investigation and action phases phases of defect management are speedily dealt with as the interaction between test and Dev is more straight forward. BDD and TDD provides a brilliant opportuntity for testers to become more valuable than ever?
